Learning to Slow Down (Whether I Like it or Not)
I went for a short swim yesterday morning - just 200m. And honestly? I got tired way faster than I expected.
I guess this frozen shoulder is really forcing me to face reality. What used to feel easy now takes effort. Even something as simple as breaststroke feels heavier, slower … different.
Instead of pushing it, I decided to just take it easy.
Headed to Orchard and went for a slow walk. No rush, no agenda, just moving at my own pace.
Had a simple lunch after that. Nothing fancy, just one of those quiet moments where you sit down and realise slowing down is not such a bad thing.
Then came the unexpected part! I was planning to take bus 518 home, checked the arrival time … 44 minutes!
Make it stand out
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
In Singapore!!!
I actually started at the screen for a while thinking it must be wrong. But nope it stayed 44minutes. For a place that runs like clockwork, that felt almost unbelieveable.
In a strange way, it matched the theme of my day. Nothing was fast. Noting went accordingly to my usual pace.
And maybe … that’s the point.
Maybe this whole phase - this shoulder, this tiredness, even that 44 minute wait - is just life forcing me to slow down a little.
Not everything needs to be rushed. Not every day needs to be productive.
Sometimes, it’s just about showing up doing what you can and letting that be enough.
